Gamaliel Placencia is living his dream on Santa Ana’s Grand Avenue. He is the owner of a Mexican restaurant that allows him to employ his love of cooking, to give his family members jobs, and to add to the list of miracles that magically appear just when he needs them.

This Thanksgiving Day, Mr. Gammy, as most everyone calls him, is thankful for his wife’s health, his good kids and for living the good life on Grand Avenue.

Great story! Most oc register online commentators, the boring racist loudmouths, wish they had this man’s work ethic.

  • Bobby Jimmy says:

Hey Sidney, this guy is one in a million alright. Don’t toot your horn so quickly.

Great story about a great guy. If you are in the neighborhood, try this place out. I know the story isn’t about the food, but the food is great. Gammy is always, always, always there (even if he is sleeping in the back). When I feel like I am working too much, I go visit Gammy and I see again what hard work is really like

  • Stella Ward says:

If she’s willing to do this, to work this hard, she’ll get far. It’s awful that kids who want to work can’t find it.

Great spin on what could otherwise have been a boring fast food hangout story.
